The sculptures shown in Cologne were all rooted in the principle of stacking and interlocking – forms emerging from simple acts of placing one element on top of another, or fitting pieces together. The most striking example was the interactive sculpture “Alltagsstapler”, which invited visitors to take part in this process themselves. People experimented endlessly, stacking, balancing and inserting objects they had with them, transforming the work again and again. The full story behind this approach will be shared in a dedicated article coming soon.
