I already had an eye for the extraordinary in the simple.

This connection to nature has been deeply anchored within me – not only through my childhood, but also through my environment. I grew up in a home shaped by craftsmanship and creativity. My family ran a floral craft business, where I learned early on how composition, color, layers, and materials interact. I was allowed to touch things, to change them, to assemble them. The idea of creating something new – a unique piece – from raw materials shaped me at an early age.

At the Waldorf school, this creative thinking was nurtured. I learned to work with a wide variety of materials, to experiment, and to take my individuality seriously. Creativity there was not a means to an end – but a way of understanding myself.

In 2017, I consciously entered painting – with a canvas, colors, and the urge to simply start. Since then, art has been my tool, my place, my counterpart. I paint, shape, install – freely, openly, without limitation. I work with acrylics, oils, chalk, spray paint, markers, spatulas, fingers, cards – with whatever feels right in the moment. Sculptures and everyday installations are also part of my work.

The process is at the center for me. Many works emerge spontaneously, out of the moment. Others develop through planning, sketches, composition, and material research. Often, it is both: an intuitive beginning that gradually moves toward structure. I allow a work to change as I work on it. I listen to what it needs – and what I want to give at that moment. For me, art is a living process, not a fixed result.

Certain themes recur again and again: organic forms, angular structures, humanity and nature, identity, perception. I work extensively with repetition and variation – especially in my portrait series, where different faces, colors, and shapes reveal how multifaceted a person can be. Behind every surface lies a story, a feeling, an individual reality.

I see my art as an invitation – not as an explanation. I do not dictate. What someone sees or feels in my work is open. I hope that viewers take something with them – whatever that may be. A brief moment of calm. A thought. An impulse.

My art is as diverse as life itself. I want to remain open. Not fixed. To create spaces where everything may exist at once: feeling, contradiction, clarity, chaos. That is exactly what makes it alive

Schon als Kind war ich ständig draußen – in der Natur, im Wasser, im Schlamm. Ich habe mit Stöcken gebaut, Wasserläufe verändert, analysiert, wie Strömung funktioniert, Burgen aus Sand und Steinen gebaut. Ich war neugierig auf Formen, auf Materialien, auf Zusammenhänge. Auf einem Campingplatz mitten im Wald habe ich früh begonnen, mir mit Naturmaterialien kleine Welten zu schaffen – Unterschlüpfe, Spielräume, Skulpturen. Ich hatte schon damals ein Auge für das Besondere im Einfachen.

Diese Verbindung zur Natur hat sich tief in mir verankert – nicht nur durch meine Kindheit, sondern auch durch mein Umfeld. Ich bin in einem handwerklich und kreativ geprägten Zuhause aufgewachsen. Meine Familie führte ein florales Handwerksunternehmen, dort habe ich schon früh gelernt, wie Komposition, Farbe, Ebenen und Materialien wirken. Ich durfte Dinge anfassen, verändern, zusammensetzen. Die Idee, aus Rohstoffen etwas Neues zu schaffen – ein Unikat – hat mich früh geprägt.

In der Waldorfschule wurde dieses kreative Denken gefördert. Ich habe gelernt, mit verschiedensten Materialien zu arbeiten, mich auszuprobieren und meine Individualität ernst zu nehmen. Dort war Kreativität nicht Mittel zum Zweck – sondern ein Weg, mich selbst zu verstehen.

2017 bin ich dann bewusst in die Malerei eingestiegen – mit einer Leinwand, Farben und dem Bedürfnis, einfach mal zu machen. Seitdem ist Kunst mein Werkzeug, mein Ort, mein Gegenüber. Ich male, forme, installiere – frei, offen, nicht festgelegt. Ich arbeite mit Acryl, Öl, Kreide, Spray, Markern, Spachteln, Fingern, Karten – mit allem, was sich gerade richtig anfühlt. Auch Skulpturen und Alltagsinstallationen gehören zu meinem Werk.

Der Prozess steht für mich im Mittelpunkt. Viele Arbeiten entstehen spontan, aus dem Moment heraus. Andere entwickeln sich geplant, über Skizzen, Komposition und Materialrecherche. Häufig ist es beides: Ein Anfang aus Intuition, der sich langsam in Richtung Struktur bewegt. Ich lasse zu, dass ein Werk sich verändert, während ich daran arbeite. Ich höre hin, was es braucht – und was ich gerade geben will. Kunst ist für mich ein lebendiger Prozess, nicht nur ein festgelegtes Ergebnis.

Inhaltlich tauchen immer wieder bestimmte Themen auf: organische Formen, kantige Strukturen, Mensch und Natur, Identität, Wahrnehmung. Ich arbeite viel mit Wiederholung und Variation – besonders bei meiner Porträtreihe, in der verschiedene Gesichter, Farben und Formen zeigen, wie vielschichtig ein Mensch sein kann. Hinter jeder Oberfläche liegt eine Geschichte, ein Gefühl, eine eigene Realität.

Ich sehe meine Kunst als Einladung – nicht als Erklärung. Ich gebe nichts vor. Was jemand in meiner Arbeit sieht oder fühlt, ist offen. Ich wünsche mir, dass die Betrachtenden etwas mitnehmen – was auch immer das für sie bedeutet. Ein kurzer Moment der Ruhe. Ein Gedanke. Ein Impuls.

Meine Kunst ist so vielfältig wie das Leben selbst. Ich will offen bleiben. Mich nicht festlegen. Räume schaffen, in denen alles gleichzeitig existieren darf: Gefühl, Widerspruch, Klarheit, Chaos. Genau das macht sie für mich lebendig.
